Not lost just lappin

Meet Warwick, Karen and their fur baby Rusty.

They packed up their life in West Gippsland, Victoria. Squeezed as much of it as they could into their Paramount Vogue caravan and are planning to live the nomad life indefinitely.

Karen works remotely, often sat on her camping chair in the sun (rusty by her side) and Warwick has just started a job which combines work with his love of travel as a Tour Bus driver in the top end!

So looks like they will be staying put in the Top end for a few months but who can blame them, the weather is starting to turn and those warm days and cool nights are almost here.

These guys are really good at finding absolute gems to stay off the beaten track, check out their Instagram @not_lost_just_lappin to see their review of Perry’s on the Daly.

So far their favourite spot was the Yorke Peninsula, South Australia, Tiparra Rocks in particular and if beach camping is your thing they highly recommend Port Gibbon Beach camp on the Eyre peninsular.

This couple came very well prepared with a coffee machine and a second fridge for the drinks but I think their best hack is a camping chair for the Rusty the Dog!

They do miss their family but they say Facetime is an absolute lifesaver and I have to agree.

But the pro’s to living this life far out weigh the con’s. They love being able to go wherever they feel like going, they are not restricted by time and they can go where ever the wind takes them (they hope the Gibb River Road, Western Australia very soon)

Wearing shorts, t-shirts and bathers everyday is a breath of fresh air after working in corporate jobs and they are absolutely blown away by the amount of free and low cost camps available. They very rarely stay in caravan parks.

Their only regret, they wish they had done it sooner.

Don’t put it off!
