  1. Rural Eats - Every Wednesday evening at the end of our road you’ll find Rural Eats set up from 4:30pm - 8:30pm under the “Big Shed”. Dinner is served from a variety of food trucks, locals gather on long communal tables. Enjoy the live music and people watching while the the kids have a ball playing and making friends!

  2. Berry Springs Tavern - Just a 15 minute drive to Berry Springs will take you to our favourite pub! This family friendly has everything. Great food, friendly atmosphere, kids playground, even a pet saltwater crocodile “Soft Croc” which you can watch get fed by very brave staff (check their socials for details)

  3. Humpty doo Village Green - take the kids to the skate park! this is one of our kids favorite activities to burn off a bit of energy. There’s also a huge playground underneath massive shade trees to keep you cool. Conveniently across the road from the library!

  4. Freds Pass Rural Markets - every Saturday 8am - 1pm crowds gather at the rural markets. You’ll find organic fruit & veg, homemade cakes and preserves, Laksa, souvenirs and even live animals. Again, this is right at the end of our road underneath the “big shed” at Freds Pass Reserve and comes highly recommended by all our past guests.

  5. Berry Springs Nature Reserve - This is an amazing swimming spot! the top pools are thermal which is perfect for an early morning dry season dip. Take pool noodles and float down the “lazy river” then relax in the huge lower pools, it feels like you’re swimming in paradise, you would never know it’s just 15 minutes from a shopping center!

  6. Shop Shop Shop! now im not going to lie, NT shopping is nothing compared to down south but after travelling through the outback it might be just what you need! Coolalinga Central is just 5 minutes away and has a great Kmart, Cotton on and Cotton on body, Kaisercraft, A brow bar, a hairdressers, Nail salon and a day spa. Not enough? go a bit further to Gateway Shopping Center where you’ll find Big W, loads of shoe shops! Bonds, Event Cinemas, Surf Dive and Ski and more!

  7. Howard Springs Reserve - this is a lovely spot for the whole family young and old. Spot barramundi and turtles in the lake, go for a walk through the rain forest, enjoy the man made paddling pools and play on the amazing nature playground. Head there during the week to avoid the local crowds and take a picnic (BBQ facilities and toilets)

  8. Noonamah Tavern and Rodeo - Head to the Top ends best Rodeo! definitely book ahead for this one! Tickets sell out quick

  9. Palmerston Night market. Friday nights are market nights in Palmerston. the smells as you walk past all the different food stalls are amazing the rainbow lorikeets go berserk flying over everyone’s heads. With a huge grassy area to lay out the picnic rug and enjoy the entertainment this is another market not to be missed!

  10. Swell Palmerston - our closest public pool and FREE entry until 2026! They have a splash park for little ones, a shallow pool for kids still learning to swim and for hydrotherapy as well as a 50m lap pool. Open from 5:30am monday - friday and doesn’t close until 8pm!
